The technician did an excellent job there were some food stains in the carpet that was over a year old and he got these out. He was very efficient moving my furniture to clean the carpet with the exception of some heavy pieces of furniture. It is a one bedroom apartment I live in and he was finished in 45 minutes. I had gotten a wing back chair that belonged to a smoker there is no smoke smell to it now. To my delight and surprise the cleaning product that the company uses has no odor to it my carpets smelled fresh and feel great. I will definitely hire the company to clean my carpets and furniture again.

Routine maintenance both at home, with regular vacuuming, and professionally, with regular cleaning, will help maintain and increase the life of your carpet.
What method of carpet cleaning do you use?
NationWide Carpet Cleaning uses a Thermo-Rinse™ deep cleaning hot water extraction method. We begin by pre-treating the carpets with home safe enzyme based Pre-Kleen, followed up by a hot water extraction rinse to remove dirt, dust, and soil, as well as any cleaning product residue. One or two days before to your carpet cleaning appointment, we will phone you to confirm the details of your appointment. If you have any questions or concerns prior to then, please feel free to contact us.
1) Pre-Vacuum – Carpets like to hide a lot of dust, hair, and soil. Just as you vacuum or sweep laminate or tiled floors before mopping or cleaning, it is just as important to make sure that your carpet is thoroughly vacuumed before we arrive for your appointment. This makes an amazing difference in carpet cleaning results!
2) Preparing Your Space – Prior to our arrival, please clear tables and floor space of breakable items such as plants, lamps, or ornaments.
3) Furniture – We can move most furniture such as small tables, chairs, or regular sized sofas or loveseats. Anything large and stationary such as beds or dressers, large electronic entertainment units or bookcases, china cabinets, or other oversized fragile items, we will do our best to clean around, as close to, or as far under as we can safely reach.
4) Pets – We love animals! But there are a few things to keep in mind when it comes to your pets and our services.
1) The last thing we want is for your pet to escape, as the door to your home will be slightly open as we come in and out throughout your carpet cleaning appointment.
2) The carpet cleaning unit is quite loud and can be scary for your furry pal; if they hate your vacuum, they probably won’t like ours much more!
3) Our shiny equipment (hoses & tools), as well as our cleaning products, might present themselves as interesting items to your pet, which could be dangerous for them.
Plan your furry pal’s day ahead of time, and have a contained & safe space for your pets to be during our time in your home!
Day of Cleaning
1) Time Frame:

- AM: we will telephone you between 7 and 7:30 AM to give you your approximate window of arrival between 7:30 AM and 12:00 PM.
- PM: we will telephone you Mid-Morning with your approximate window of arrival between 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM.
2) Parking – For houses we require a driveway within (approximately) 30 feet of the entrance to your home. For apartments we require legal, above ground visitor parking on site for the duration of your appointment.
3) Payment – we accept Cash, Visa, MasterCard, or American Express. Unfortunately, we do not accept personal cheques or debit cards.

How To Maintain Your Carpets After Carpet Cleaning
Regular Maintenance
Immediately After Cleaning:
Caution!
Post carpet cleaning, your carpets will be slightly moist to the touch for approximately 4 – 8 hours. While you can still walk on your carpets, please be extremely careful, walk slow and wear a pair of clean rubber soled shoes or slippers; and be very careful walking from the carpets to any hard surface, or up and down the stairs, as it may be slippery. Do not run!
Air Flow
Immediately after your carpet cleaning is finished, your carpets may be damp up to 24 hours. The best way to make sure your carpets dry efficiently is to create air flow. Having windows or doors open will help with air circulation. Fans and warm air can also help speed up the drying time. Please contact us if your carpets are not dry within a day.
Spots & Stains
Every once in a while, pesky spills can make their way through the back of the carpet to the subfloor (or underlay), spreading below the surface where we cannot see. Our powerful carpet cleaning can cause “wicking”, where these stains will rise to the surface or reappear, even bigger, as the carpets dry. If this happens, don’t fret! Phone our office right away and we will be happy to service this for you.

Dust and hair make their way into your carpet from the air and everyday use. Vacuuming your carpets on a regular basis will help to keep them looking fantastic longer. How often you should vacuum? This really depends on how must dust is in your home and how much use the carpets get. A good schedule to follow is once a week for all of your carpets, and 2-3 times a week for the most used traffic areas.
Spot Clean
If you have a small spill, get to it right away! Use a clean absorbent towel or cloth to blot up as much of the spill as possible- always blot, don’t rub! For larger volumes of liquid (such as a sink overflow) we recommend phoning a professional as extracting larger spills may be difficult on your own.
